"Read to Your Child" - the way to Independence

As you read to your child regularly, he will soon be able to read letters without feeling any stress. That means he starts getting involved in social life, such as reading the address where he is at, or reading the menu to choose what he likes to eat. Literacy is the First Step to Independence.

There are other good points in reading to a child:
1. A child will grow to love books and get motivated to learn
2. A child will have a rich emotional life
3. A child will have a good understanding of things.
4. Parents can convey their love to their children by reading to them.

Reading to a child requires your devotion. A child feels contented that his parent is paying full attention to him. Fifteen minutes a day can be enough. It is good to continue till lower Primary school even when he is able to read on his own. Then, he will spontaneously pick up books to read on his own.
